Terms

The plain-English version of how we work. By booking a clean with ScrubClub you agree to these terms. If anything here is unclear, email hello@myscrubclub.co.uk and we'll talk it through before the booking is confirmed.

Booking and confirmation

A booking is confirmed once we've replied to your enquiry by email or phone with the date, time and final quote. Until then the slot is provisional. Quotes given through the booking form are estimates based on the information you've shared; the final price is confirmed during this back-and-forth.

Pricing

Prices on the site are guides for typical Glasgow homes. Larger properties, properties in poor condition, extras and access challenges (no parking, multiple flights of stairs without a lift) may change the final quote. We'll always tell you the price in writing before we start.

Deposit

We may take a 50% deposit at the point of booking to secure your slot, depending on the service and date. The deposit is applied to the final invoice. If you cancel or reschedule with at least 48 hours' notice, the deposit can be moved to a new date or refunded in full. If you cancel within 48 hours of the booked start time, or if we arrive at the property and the booking can't go ahead because we can't get access, the deposit is forfeited to cover the lost slot. The balance is invoiced after the clean.

Cancellations and rescheduling

48 hours' notice is required to cancel or reschedule a booking. Inside that window the cancellation fee is the deposit (50% of the booking value). Outside it, you can move your slot or cancel without charge. Recurring customers can pause or skip a clean at any time with 48 hours' notice.

Extra grime charge

The booking quote assumes a property in normal lived-in condition. If on arrival the property or specific areas (kitchen, oven, bathroom, walls, carpets, behind appliances, post-renovation dust, post-pet damage or post-event mess) are excessively dirty, we'll either quote a higher price on the spot before starting, or apply an extra grime charge confirmed in writing after the clean. Common examples: heavy oven build-up, mould, animal hair across upholstery, sticky kitchen units, post-builders dust. We aim to be fair, the extra charge reflects the real time and supplies needed.

72-hour re-clean guarantee (end of tenancy)

Every end of tenancy clean comes with a 72-hour re-clean guarantee, included at no extra cost. If the letting agent or landlord flags specific missed areas on the standard checklist inside that 72-hour window, we'll come back and put them right, provided the property hasn't been re-occupied or had work done in it after we left.

Access, supplies and conditions

You're responsible for giving us access at the agreed time (keys, key safe, code, in person), and for the property having running water and electricity on the day. If we can't get in or can't work safely, the booking is treated as a same-day cancellation (see the deposit clause).

We bring our own products and equipment by default. If you'd prefer we use yours, let us know in advance. We don't move heavy furniture or work at height beyond a small step ladder. We don't touch valuables (jewellery, cash, documents) unless specifically asked.

Insurance and liability

We carry public liability insurance covering reasonable claims arising from work performed by ScrubClub cleaners. Claims must be reported within 7 days of the clean. Our liability is limited to the value of the booking except where the law requires otherwise. We're not liable for pre-existing damage, wear and tear, or items that were already broken before the clean.

Payment

Payment is due within 7 days of the clean by bank transfer or card link. Recurring customers are billed after each visit. Late payments may incur a fee in line with the Late Payment of Commercial Debts Act.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of Scotland. Any disputes will be heard in the Scottish courts.
