When you might book this.
The six moments a deep clean earns its keep over a standard regular clean.
Common scenarios
- Before the in-laws or important guests arrive and tidy is not going to cut it
- After a renovation when the plaster dust has settled on every surface
- After a sickness in the house, a full sanitise matters more than a wipe-around
- Listing the property for sale and the photographer is coming Thursday
- A January or August reset that the standard regular clean cannot reach
- After a long stretch where the kitchen has drifted past normal-clean territory
How it differs from a regular clean.
A deep clean does the detail work a weekly or fortnightly visit deliberately leaves out.
Extra over a regular clean
- Two to three times the time on site, with extra cleaners for larger properties
- Skirting boards, door frames, internal doors, light fittings and switch plates
- Full descaling: showers, taps, kettles, anything mineral-stained
- Appliance exteriors and handles, not just a wipe
- Internal cupboard fronts, hinges and door tops
- Cobweb sweep, radiator backs (where accessible), interior windows on add-on
Frequently asked.
The questions we hear most often before someone books their first deep clean.
How long does a deep clean take?
Typically half a day to a full day with two to four cleaners, depending on size and condition. A studio in good condition can be done in 3 to 4 hours, a 4-bed that has not been deep cleaned in a year takes a full day.
Can I add a deep clean to my regular plan?
Yes. Many customers book a deep clean every three to six months on top of weekly maintenance, to catch the detail work the regular checklist skips. Existing customers get a discount on the deep clean rate.
Will you move furniture?
We move what one or two cleaners can safely shift to reach behind. Heavy items like wardrobes, large sofas and beds stay where they are unless arranged in advance. Tell us at booking and we can plan for extra hands.
Inside the oven, fridge and cupboards: are they included?
Available as add-ons in the booking form. Oven is +£40, fridge +£25, inside cupboards +£20, microwave or dishwasher +£15. We list each on the quote and confirm before we start.
What products do you use?
Professional-grade, residue-free products that work harder than supermarket brands. For pet-safe or eco-friendly preferences, tell us at booking and we will switch with no surcharge.
How do I prepare?
Less than you would think. Clear the worktops if you can, put away anything valuable or fragile, and let us know if there is a specific area (a tile grout problem, a stained sofa, that one cupboard) that needs extra attention.
